Which EcoFlow range fits your use
Picking the wrong capacity is the expensive mistake here, and a coupon does not fix it. The ranges split by what they can actually run:
- RIVER series — smaller and lighter. Phones, laptops, lights, a CPAP machine, camera gear. Camping and travel.
- DELTA series — larger capacity and higher output. Fridges, power tools, microwaves, short home backup.
- DELTA Pro and home systems — whole-circuit backup, expandable with extra batteries and solar.
Work out watts before capacity
Two numbers matter and people usually check only one:
- Output (watts) decides what you can run. A fridge that draws 150W continuously still needs a much higher surge rating to start its compressor. If the unit’s output is below the device’s surge, it will not run at all — regardless of battery size.
- Capacity (watt-hours) decides how long. Divide capacity by the device’s draw for a rough runtime: a 1,000Wh unit runs a 100W device for roughly eight to nine hours after losses.
Check the surge rating of your highest-draw appliance first, then size the capacity to the hours you need.
Solar panels are sold separately
Most power stations do not include a panel. If you want to recharge off-grid, budget for the panel as a second purchase, and check the input limit — feeding more solar watts than the unit accepts is wasted money.
