What TravelUp is actually useful for

Online travel agencies are not interchangeable. TravelUp is at its strongest on:

  • Long-haul and multi-city flights, where consolidator and private fares are genuinely cheaper than the airline’s own site.
  • Flight-plus-hotel packages, where the ATOL-style protection on a package is worth something real if the trip collapses.
  • Complex itineraries that airline booking engines price badly.

It is at its weakest on short, cheap, single-carrier flights. On those, the agency saving is a few pounds or dollars, and you give up the ability to phone the airline directly about a schedule change — changes on an agency booking go through the agency. That trade is worth it on a 900-dollar long-haul; it is not worth it on a 60-dollar hop.

What our own record shows for TravelUp

We track this merchant daily and re-check each offer against the merchant feed. As of 27 September 2026:

  • Live offers we hold: 14.
  • How many are codes: 10. The other 4 are sale listings with no code — they describe TravelUp’s own sale pricing, not something you apply at checkout.
  • Typical discount on the codes: flat money off, not a percentage. Six codes are 15 dollars off, one is 11 dollars, one is 5 dollars. Only two quote a percentage.
  • First tracked: 15 September 2026, newest added 22 September 2026.
  • Last re-verified: within the last 24 hours.
  • Offers with a merchant expiry date: zero out of 14.

Here is the part that matters, and the reason we would rather give you our data than a tidy list of codes. The discount here is small relative to the purchase. Fifteen dollars off an 800-dollar long-haul fare is under 2%. That is worth claiming because it is free, but it is not a reason to choose TravelUp — the fare itself is. Anyone presenting TravelUp codes as a big saving is not doing the arithmetic.

Three more things our record shows that a scraped list will not:

  • Two codes are labelled identically. Both are described as up to 40% off travel bookings, yet they are different codes. When two entries in a merchant feed describe the same thing with different strings, the percentage is a marketing ceiling rather than a real discount rate. Treat the flat-amount codes as the dependable ones.
  • Seasonal codes are still live out of season. One is named for summer and one for Black Friday, and both are in our feed in late September. They may still work — it suggests these are standing codes with seasonal names, not expiring promotions.
  • Some codes are region-locked by name. Two are named for Australia and Saudi Arabia. If you are booking on the US or UK storefront, expect those to be rejected.
  • One code lists no discount at all. It has a code string and no stated amount. We have left it visible because it is real, but we cannot tell you what it does.

How to use a TravelUp promo code

  1. Search the fare first and write down the total before any code. The fare is where the real money is.
  2. Check the same route on the airline’s own site. If the gap is under about 20 dollars, book direct — the flexibility is worth more than the code.
  3. If the agency fare wins, open the offer from this page and carry the code to checkout.
  4. Enter the code in the promo box before payment. Try the flat-amount codes first; they are the ones with a defined value.
  5. Confirm the total actually dropped, then check what is included — baggage, seat selection and any service fee are where an agency total diverges from the headline fare.
  6. Before paying, read what protection applies to your specific booking. A flight-only booking and a package are not protected the same way.

What actually saves money at TravelUp

  • Flexible dates. Moving a long-haul departure by a day routinely beats every code on this page combined.
  • Booking flight and hotel as a package when the trip is a holiday rather than a work trip — the package price and the protection both improve.
  • Checking baggage before you compare. A cheaper agency fare that excludes a checked bag is not cheaper.
  • The student and teacher code if you qualify — it is the same 15 dollars, but it is a category most people do not check.
  • Not over-optimising. Spending an hour hunting a 15-dollar code on a fare you have not compared is the wrong hour.

TravelUp FAQs

How much do TravelUp codes actually save?
Most are 5 to 15 dollars off the booking. Two quote a percentage, but both use the same vague up to 40% wording on different codes, so we would not plan around them.

Is TravelUp legitimate?
It is an established UK online travel agency that describes itself as an appointed IATA agent and links to ATOL and financial protection information. What protection covers your booking depends on whether you book a flight only or a package — check that on the booking page, not in a review.

Should I book here or direct with the airline?
Direct is simpler if something changes, because you deal with the airline. Book through the agency when the fare gap is large enough to be worth handling changes through a third party — usually long-haul, rarely short-haul.

Why are summer and Black Friday codes live in September?
Because the merchant has not cleared them from its feed. In practice they look like standing codes with seasonal names. Judge them on the amount, not the name.

Will an Australia or Saudi code work on my US booking?
Probably not. Codes named for a region are normally tied to that storefront.
